Fr. Giovanni Borin is the European and African Regional Superior of the Congregation of the Missionaries of St. Charles, Scalabrinians, and a Director of SIMN.
He first worked in Italy among youths and immigrants in the country’s Central and Southern Regions of Puglia, Calabria and Marche. He was the head of various Diocesan offices for the Migrants, including the Marche Region, where he held the International Meeting on Migration in Loreto. He lived for seven years in Paris and worked as the pastor of St. Bernard de la Chapelle.
He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy in Piacenza, Italy, and his master’s degree in Moral Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome.
