Fr. Savino Bernardi is the Provincial Superior of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Province of Australia and Asia as well as the Director of SIMN.

Ordained as a priest in 1967, Fr. Savino worked in Australia until 1989, holding the following positions: Provincial Counsellor, Assistant Priest for several different Parishes, Director of the Centre for Migrants in Newcastle and Director of the Pastoral Centre for Italian Migrants in Melbourne.

In 1989, Fr. Savino went to the Philippines, where he would stay for 20 years, working first as Vocation Animator and then as the Director of the Apostleship of the Sea in Manila. Elected Provincial Superior, he returned to Australia in 2009.

After completing his philosophy course in Italy, Fr. Savino finished his theological studies in New York. He obtained a bachelor’s in psychology in 1982 at Swinburne University in Melbourne, Australia.
