Among them is the <a href=\"https:\/\/parroquiaemigrantes.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Parroquia Nuestra Se\u00f1ora Madre de los Emigrantes<\/em><\/a>, in the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The missionary Father Sidnei Marco Dornelas supervised the publication of the recent newsletter <em>migraciones<\/em> of the Departamento de Migraciones about the Scalabrinian reality, which we propose here.<\/p>\n<p>The document <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1I1er3igPu6HKe1Jmudrf4Z6ZPyutqMig\/view\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lent and Migration<\/a>, which illustrates the activities of February 2021, focuses in particular on supporting documentation and obtaining food and clothing in full compliance with anti-coronavirus restrictions. In the month in question, 830 people were treated, of which 499 came only from Venezuela, a country that has experienced a desperate mass exodus in recent years due to the social, economic, and political crisis, and the Covid-19 health emergency.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Father Dornelas, Director of CEMLA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since 2019, Father Sidnei Marco Dornelas is Director and President of the <a href=\"https:\/\/cemla.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Center for Latin American Migration Studies (CEMLA)<\/a> in Buenos Aires, one of the seven entities that are part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scalabriniani.org\/scalabrini-migration-study-centers-smsc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Federation of Scalabrinian Centers for Migration Studies<\/a>, which are in charge of promoting and dissemination of research studies on human mobility in the world.<\/p>\n<p>He recently collaborated in the drafting of <a href=\"https:\/\/simn-global.org\/sg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Libro-Actuaci%C3%B3n-scalabriniana-en-la-pandemia-COVID-19.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Scalabrinian Action in the Covid-19 Pandemic in South America<\/em><\/a>, the document that presents the Scalabrinian responses and initiatives in the South American region in times of pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scalabriniani.org\/c365-attualita\/quaresima-migrazioni-buenos-aires\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.scalabriniani.org\/c365-attualita\/quaresima-migrazioni-buenos-aires\/<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some data from the Scalabrinian parish Nuestra Se\u00f1ora Madre de los Emigrantes in Buenos Aires Buenos Aires, March 12, 2021 &#8211; In this Lenten season characterized by the persistence of the pandemic, assistance to migrants continues in Scalabrinian missions and parishes.
