ASCS Visits Scalabrinian Mission in Spain to Strengthen Support for Migrants in Ceuta

In recent days, Emanuele Selleri, Executive Director of ASCS, visited the Scalabrinian mission in Spain, where—together with the Cardijn Association—they continue to develop the San Antonio de Ceuta Center, a space dedicated to welcoming and supporting migrants living in vulnerable conditions.

Ceuta, a border land marked by complexity and deep wounds, remains a crossing point where thousands of people seek safety, dignity, and the hope of a new future. In this challenging context, the presence of the Scalabrinian fathers, volunteers, and local partners helps build small but vital bridges of humanity and dignity every day.

During his visit, Emanuele also took part in the meeting “Current Migration Routes, Response of the States and the Church”, alongside Fr. Antonio Grasso, Director of SIMN Europe–Africa. The encounter offered a meaningful moment of reflection, exchange, and deep listening—an opportunity to continue interpreting migration with a human-centered and responsible lens.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Scalabrinian missionaries of Algeciras–Cádiz–Ceuta for their warm welcome and for their unwavering commitment to those most in need.
