Medical Assistance in the Scalabrinian Center in Manta, Ecuador
Manta, Ecuador, January 29, 2019 – On January 28, a medical team provided health services in the facilities of the Scalabrinian shelter for migrants in Manta, Ecuador. With the rainy season, mosquitoes and other insects multiply, causing tropical diseases such as dengue, a very common disease during the rainy season. The Scalabrinian center saw the need for medical assistance for migrants, providing assistance especially to children and pregnant women who are staying in the shelter.
