Nueva York, 5 de noviembre de 2021.-
On the occasion of the feast of Saint Charles Borromeo (November 4), the priests Ezio Marchetto, Jairo Guidini, Charles Zanoni, and Andrei Zanon, linked to the headquarters of the province of Saint Charles Borromeo of the Scalabrinian order, concelebrated a Eucharist at the Church of Our Lady of Pompeii, the parish in which the order serves in the Archdiocese of New York.
As is known to those familiar with the Scalabrinian order, its official name is Missionaries of Saint Charles Borromeo, precisely because its founder, Blessed John Baptist Scalabrini, took the figure of the saint, Archbishop of Milan and a key figure in the conclusion of the Council of Trent, as an inspiration for the work that the congregation would unfold in the future: a saint who always sought to reform to update the evangelical message to the changing conditions of each era and thus be able to question each generation.
Thus, from the Scalabrinian province of San Carlos Borromeo and the SIMN, we take the opportunity to send a fraternal hug of congratulations to all the brothers and sisters who collaborate with the work started by our founder: many congratulations and thank you for your efforts in this celebration!
