Porto Alegre – On September 29, 2018, the First Meeting of Volunteers of CIBAI-Migrações was held. The meeting freely develops a work in hope and solidarity for the migrants who arrive at the Scalabrinian Center. The event helped to reflect on the mission, integration, respect, intercultural cooperation in the Scalabrinian charism, these and other subjects were spoken in this event. For this, 55 volunteers supported the meeting, young people trained in various professions such as lawyers, international relations, medicine, psychologists, researchers, professors, and retirees, among others. It is worth highlighting the significant presence in CIBAI-Migrações of Senegalese, Dominican and Venezuelan volunteers. 

The meeting helped in mutual knowledge in the exchange of experience in the sector that each develops, the event was also marked by a strong feeling, moment of joy and hope in the continuity of voluntary and fraternal service.

On behalf of all the migrants, we thank each one of the volunteers who left everything, to give a little of themselves in favor of the migrants who come to us in search of a new life.
