Graduation of Students from the Different Training Courses in the Scalabrinian Mission of Uruguay

In an atmosphere marked by emotion and familiarity, on the night of November 12, at the Headquarters of Montevideo, Uruguay, the graduation of students from the different courses that were given in the year 2016 was celebrated.

The event consisted of a Gala Dinner, elaborated by the students of the courses of Easy Cooking, of High Cooking and Pastry and organized under the conduction of the students of the courses of Protocol and of Domestic Economy.

The ceremony was opened with the words of welcome from the parish priest of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción y Madre de los Migrantes and president of the institution; Fr. Hermilo Cortés.

Followed by Dr. Nicolás Camacho, vice-president of the institution, who explained to the guests the scope and importance of the present event, both for the Scalabrinian Congregation and for the students, as it was acknowledging the effort, discipline and Commitment of so many migrants.

Teacher Sunilda Aguilera and teacher Sofía Camacho proceeded to deliver the diplomas to those who approved the courses of Easy Cooking, High Cuisine, Pastry, Home Economics, Basic Computer Science, Basic Computer Science for Seniors, and Protocol.

Subsequently, the mentioned teachers accompanied by the Honorable Consul of the Republic of Paraguay, Mrs. Estela Armúa, presented the prizes in recognition of the academic excellence in each course, with which a student was honored for each course.

The gastronomic offer was characterized by its abundance, exquisiteness and international variety, tasting a varied menu of different regions of the world.

We also enjoyed the tasting of a wide range of international drinks, which were made by Mr. Erick Santana, Bartender teacher of our institution.

With joy and excitement present at all times, the event ended after midnight, leaving a pleasant memory in all the participants and a very important number of people registered for the courses to be given in 2017.
