Santiago de Chile, February 22, 2018 – In an atmosphere filled with joy and hope, one of the Scalabrinian Centers in Santiago de Chile held its graduation of the Patient Care Training Course, held on February 3, 2018. This is the third promotion, an opportunity in which 18 migrants of Peru, Colombia, Bolivia and Dominican Republic concluded their studies.
With this course, the workers are trained to be able to attend more efficiently to the elderly and/or patients with difficulty and thus achieve a better job placement in Chile. This Center also offers free Spanish courses to migrants whose native language is not Spanish, and it also offers culinary classes where they teach migrants to cook Chilean food.
The main objective of this Scalabrinian Center, in particular, is to offer hospitality, trust, guidance, fraternity, and consolation. Facilitate labor insertion for a good integration of migrants in Chilean society.
