Cúcuta, October 29, 2018 – The victims of the armed conflict, returned Colombians and Venezuelans, settled in the neighborhoods of communes 6 and 7, receive food support from the WFP local office; the office of the United Nations provides the resources for the support of 2 community restaurants, serving 1,000 people among older adults, pregnant and lactating women, boys and girls.
The infants who attend the restaurants enjoyed a day of entertainment: dances, music, games and refreshments; The Scalabrinian support team, made up of more than 30 people, coordinated with the parents the activities of the day, this being a prelude to the celebration of Halloween
The 2 community restaurants located in the Camilo Daza and Caño Limón neighborhoods offer a warm food portion during 2 weeks, after this period the beneficiaries receive vouchers to be redeemed in food establishments, thus allowing the service to other families periodically.
