Scalabrini Centers and Casas del Migrante Network

The mission of the Scalabrini Centers and Casas del Migrante Network is to provide migrants, refugees and internally displaced persons services and advocacy programs in order to facilitate their integration in hosting communities and their re-integration when they return to their own countries. The Centers provide healthy meals, accommodations in dormitories, showers and bathing facilities, access to phones and internet, training programs, labor integration, legal services, including documentation services, necessary to cross international borders. The Network gives those on the move a vital chance to rest and refuel before continuing their journeys.

The Scalabrini Centers and Casas del Migrante Network are present in Mendoza and Rosario, Argentina; Montevideo, Uruguay; Santiago and Arica, Chile; Tacna, Peru; La Paz, Bolivia; Porto Alegre, Florianópolis, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Corumbá, Cuiabá and Manaus, Brazil; Manta, Ecuador; Bogotá, Cúcuta and Ipiales, Colombia; Tecún Umán and Guatemala City, Guatemala; Tapachula, Tijuana and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; Cape Town, South Africa; Manila, Philippines; and Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
