Kaohsiung, Taiwan, November 16, 2021 – The Scalabrinian center Stella Maris Kaohsiung is constantly building collaboration with government institutions, non-government organizations, international organizations, fishers’ organizations, local communities, young people, and all those who care for fishers. Stella Maris Kaohsiung believes that to improve the living condition of the fishers, each one and every organization can be part of the solution.

Stella Maris Kaohsiung is active in participating in the meetings and other forums to discuss the rights of the fishers. They also invite all those interested in the fishing sector to visit the fishers in the ports and in their fishing vessels. By this initiative, they hope to let people know the real condition and the real need of the fishers.

About a week ago, Stella Maris Kaohsiung met with the Manila Economic and Trade Office (MECO) to visit fishers in Donggang Port. It was a wonderful moment to talk with the fishers. Fishers welcomed the Stella Maris Kaohsiung crew so well.

Each person and institution can contribute something according to their own capacity. Only in good collaboration and purity of intentions change for the better can happen.
