Support for Scalabrini Programs in Japan

The first two Scalabrini missions arrived in Japan in 2003. Today, three missions minister in the Dioceses of Tokyo and Saitama to Filipino, Brazilian, and Latin American migrants. In addition to the chaplaincies, in 2006, the Scalabrini missionaries became “assistant directors” of the Catholic Tokyo International Center (CTIC), a support center for migrants and refugees.
