Casa del Migrante Sin Fronteras – Scalabrini recently celebrated its 29th anniversary, marking nearly three decades of service, welcome, and accompaniment to thousands of people on the move.
For 29 years, the Casa has been a place of encounter and solidarity for migrants who, throughout their journeys, have found a helping hand, a welcoming space, and support grounded in hope and human dignity. Its work reflects a commitment to walking alongside people experiencing migration, providing assistance and a safe place during times of uncertainty.
The work of the Casa is inspired by the charism of St. John Baptist Scalabrini, who recognized in the experiences, struggles, and hopes of migrants a call to respond with solidarity, welcome, and accompaniment. His legacy continues to guide the mission of the Casa and its commitment to people on the move.
The anniversary celebration was also an opportunity to recognize and thank all those who, throughout these 29 years, have contributed to this mission: staff members, volunteers, benefactors, and partners who have made it possible to continue providing a space of welcome and accompaniment.
