SIMN Virtually Participated at the PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival and Awards Ceremony Promoted by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM)

New York, December 5, 2020 – The Scalabrini International Migration Network participated at the PLURAL+ Youth Video Festival: 2020 Awards Ceremony on December 4, 2020. As every year, the event was organized by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The virtual event featured short films produced by young filmmakers from across the globe on the pressing issues of migration, diversity, social inclusion, the prevention of xenophobia, the future of our world, and interreligious dialogue. Plural + strives to give the global youth a voice through which they can express their views about pressing social issues, such as the ones mentioned above.

From the list of final videos sent to the Plural + partners, SIMN selected the video “We Are Migrants” by Patricia Oliva Gonzáles from Spain for the Plural + 2020 SIMN Award. Congratulations to Patricia Oliva Gonzáles and to the team who created this excellent video.
