The Scalabrini International Migration Network (SIMN) and Caritas Pro Vitae Gradu Charitable Trust Join Forces to Support Migrants and Refugees During COVID-19

New York, May 19, 2020 – The Caritas Pro Vitae Gradu Charitable Trust has partnered with the Scalabrini International Migration Network (SIMN) to strengthen the response to COVID-19 around the world.

Caritas Pro Vitae Gradu Charitable Trust is a private charity that supports Catholic projects that encourage change and promote the values of compassion and commitment to the most vulnerable. This organization is supporting our global campaign #Scalabrinian Support for COVID-19 Response which is focused on responding to the emergency and immediate needs, and long-term projections post-pandemic.

To date, amid the pandemic, more than 50,000 people have received direct services in all regions where we operate, including Europe, Africa, Asia, Mexico & Central America, and North & South America. They are provided shelter, food and vouchers, personal hygiene kits, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and social services referrals.

Thousands of displaced migrants are now in isolation in our migrant centers receiving three meals a day, medical support, educational and psychological care, and personal protective equipment. Our Scalabrinian Fathers, staff, and volunteers are ensuring the efficient and safe operation of these centers.

On behalf of the Scalabrini International Migration Network (SIMN) and the thousands of migrants and refugees who we are serving around the world, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Caritas Pro Vitae Gradu Charitable Trust for their partnership and continuous contribution to our mission and supporting our global campaign to help the most vulnerable during COVID-19. Thank you for sharing our mission and commitment to safeguarding the dignity of migrants, refugees, and their families.
