SIMN supports the Scalabrinian Press Federation to foster a positive public perception of migration and promote better governance. In addition to the Network of Scalabrini Radios in Brazil and Radio Migrantes, as well as several magazines and newspapers published by the congregation around the world, SIMN’s recent additions include a newsletter to inform its followers about current activities and social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

The Scalabrini Migration Study Centers unites seven centers across the world, each devoted to research and advocacy on migration. Located in New York, Paris, Rome, São Paulo, Buenos Aires, Cape Town, and Manila, these centers monitor the development of international migration. All of them are organized with similar departments, including a program dedicated to research, another dedicated to specialized publications—including periodicals, monographs and academic papers—as well as programs dedicated to documentation, conferences, and other educational activities.

The Scalabrini Migration Study Centers is a leading educational network and think tank devoted to the study of international migration, to the promotion of understanding between immigrants and receiving communities, and to public policies that safeguard the dignity and rights of migrants, refugees, internally displaced people, and seafarers.

The Scalabrini Apostleship of the Sea Network serves seafarers in port cities across the globe. Workers in the cruise, shipping, and fishing industries can spend weeks or even months at sea for little pay with no connection to their loved ones. The Scalabrini congregation has organized teams of priests and Catholic laypeople to board ships and minister to them through masses and blessing ceremonies. The centers of the Scalabrini Apostleship of the Sea Network also offer a number of services in port cities, including shelter, training programs, access to international telephone lines and internet to connect with family members, recreation centers, lending libraries, television, shopping, and more.

Scalabrini missionaries run Apostleship of the Sea centers in Argentina, Brazil, Italy, the Philippines, South Africa, Taiwan, and Uruguay.

Scalabrini welcoming centers and the Casas del Migrante network provide migrants, refugees, and internally displaced people services and advocacy programs to facilitate their integration in host communities and their re-integration when they return to their own countries. Scalabrini centers provide healthy meals, dormitory accommodations, showers and bathing facilities, access to phones and internet, legal assistance, including documentation services, vocational training programs, and job placement. The network as a whole gives people on the move a chance to rest and refuel before continuing their journeys.

Scalabrini welcoming centers and the Casas del Migrante network are present in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Italy, Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, South Africa, Taiwan, Uruguay, and Vietnam.
