On September 14, 2026, the Scalabrinian Center for People on the Move (SCPM) hosted a Paralegal Seminar focused on land- and sea-based legal matters affecting migrants, seafarers, and other people in situations of mobility.
The seminar was led by Attorney Dennis Gorecho, who shared practical legal information and guidance on issues relevant to both land-based and maritime workers. The session provided participants with an opportunity to better understand their legal rights, responsibilities, and available protections.
The activity is part of SCPM’s ongoing efforts to accompany, inform, and empower migrants and seafarers, providing them with practical support and access to information that can help them navigate legal and social challenges.
The seminar took place at 7:00 p.m. and brought together members of the community interested in strengthening their knowledge of legal matters affecting people on the move.
