On August 18, CIBAI Migrações, a Scalabrinian partner and part of the network of Scalabrinian organizations in Porto Alegre, Brazil, carried out an outreach and support initiative for a migrant family, providing assistance through the distribution of food and household items.
As part of its approach to providing assistance, the CIBAI team conducts an interview with each family requesting this type of support. This process allows the team to better understand each family’s circumstances, identify their most pressing needs, and take into account the particularities of each family situation in order to provide an appropriate response within the institution’s available resources.
This work reflects the commitment of CIBAI Migrações and the Scalabrinian network in Porto Alegre to the comprehensive accompaniment of migrants, providing concrete responses to situations of vulnerability while strengthening processes of welcome, integration, and solidarity.
Through these actions, CIBAI Migrações continues to place migrants at the center of its mission, offering not only material assistance but also listening, guidance, and accompaniment so that families can face the challenges of their migration journey with greater dignity.
