Emotional well-being is an essential part of the welcoming and integration process for migrants. Recognizing the importance of mental health in the context of human mobility, the Centro Pastoral del Migrante Scalabrini de El Salvador, through the Missionaries of Saint Charles Scalabrinians Foundation, organized an informational and awareness-raising session with the support of Social Work students completing their internships at the Universidad Pedagógica de El Salvador.

During the activity, the students led a presentation on the importance of mental health care, sharing valuable information and practical tools to help participants recognize the importance of emotional well-being and cope with the challenges that may arise throughout the migration journey.

The session also included a participatory activity that encouraged attendees to reflect on their emotions, share experiences, and recognize the importance of taking care of their mental health.

Through these opportunities for information, awareness-raising, and personal support, the Centro Pastoral del Migrante Scalabrini de El Salvador reaffirms its commitment to providing comprehensive care for migrants, promoting initiatives that contribute to their emotional well-being, dignity, and quality of life.

Because accompanying people on the move also means listening, caring, and providing support at every stage of their journey.
