La Paz, Bolivia, July 23, 2018 – On July 22, in the facilities of the Parochial Sports Coliseum, La Paz Red Cross, aimed at migrants and the local population, to organize a disaster drill.

The Red Cross provided the trained personnel and the necessary supplies for that purpose. Sections for eventual cases of wounded, dead, psychological containment, children, and elderly people were organized during the activity. The most popular section was “communications” with relatives abroad, where the largest percentage were migrants from Venezuela, Colombia and Brazilian, who through satellite phones managed to communicate with their families.

The Pastoral of Human Mobility La Paz and Casa del Migrante, in a close and coordinated way with the Red Cross, combine their efforts with actions in favor of the migrants.
